School holidays

The school holidays is very fun because we get to hang out with our families and take a day of from school. Next year we willhave a new fresh start back at school because we will be seeing new faces joining us from parts of countries. But I think we are all having a blast including our teachers and helpers as well because we count on them to lead the way for us to them what we know. So have a great holiday and merry Christmas to you all who are gone on there hidays be safe and remember to come back to school safe as well, and good bye Point England see you next year

How the author’s values/beliefs reflected/challenged my own values/beliefs

Mt Darius has things that catches people’s eyes because of the things that live their. Teenagers always like to do something really crazy like travel all the way to Mt Darius with only a little bit of supplies. Mt Darius can be very difficult to find in very different ways because the weather over there is very mysterious  from some kind of fog or rain. The 2 survivors that still lived  had made an effort to try to get out of Mt Darius to try live their lives before they expire inst what had happened to their friends.

If our were on that journey I would turn back like what that other was trying to do because it looks like a difficult. My values reflected on the part when they were trying to climb down the tree to the bottom because I didn’t know how to tie a bowline until know. How did they attempt to find there way out because Mt Darius is a big place made out of many wonders. My wonders will be about the place it sounds like that it was beautiful but until the volcano erupted and everything turned black.

Today's work is about lake of the dead because it helps know about adventures and discoveries for younger kids to know and learn at the same time.

Characters/situations/events

• The characters of the story is Greer,Vinnie,Carlos,Tom and Matt.
• The event was about them going on a big journey to Mt Darius but only 2 of them make it out alive.
• The situation was that they starved for 48 hours and had to eat a dear that was lying dead in a valley of smoke.
• Some other events were,as they try to survive they bury an old man because they didn’t want to leave lying around.
• I love the fact that this story tells us about 2 brave teenagers surviving for their lives to get away from the volcano
• That their friends get buried under the rocks but they journeyed this far from home. Were the 2 friends that survived get along so well because didn’t sound like they were getting along very well.

My Interpretation

•  My Interpretation is how old were they because this story sounds more like a teens story. 
• It was so sad that the characters died from a big volcano that spread lava out of nowhere and suddenly the ground starts to shake as well.
• Why do they really have to go to see Mt Darius for they already knew that there was a big volcano that erupted for over a few years back.
• Mt Darius is a mountain that has creepy things that stay and live there, but one of them is called a serpent and   it lives inside a lake that is called the lake of the dead.
• The characters in this was brave enough to go on a journey to Mt Darius but they die but it was so sad just watch them lose their  lives.
• I thought that Mt Darius didn’t even exist because people haven’t talked about it much but now it’s becoming a legend.

How personal bias affected my interpretation

• How there were like heaps of girls with the boys but they all die but except for one girl.
•     The way how Greer  was trying to get the meat out of that dear but if that were me I would cut it crucet like his one.
•     I think that the volcano that lives on Mt Darius is the first volcano that ever lived since we weren’t born yet.
• How far is Mt Darius from New Zealand because the volcano that lives on Mt Darius is really suspicious.
• Is Mt Darius a dangerous place, their are mysterious things  

•  Was it really beautiful on Mt Darius because it sounds really nice just listening to them say it.

Genomics Activity

Today docotr thierry came to do an activity with us. We had to sort out chromosmnes including men and women gene thingy. It was hard but me and my team worked together and we finished ! It was pretty fun .

Yesterday was the day that we went to rainbows end, Yr7 kids were the only ones that went because we are spending our last time been a year 7.

Yesterday at school we were getting ready to leave school to go to Rainbow's End in Manukau before we left our explain some of the stuff that we needed to know before we go. we had to get split up into 3/7 or 4S I was split up in cinemas hoodies from with my friends which are, Mata, Rozaidah,Punairu,Toby,Toni, Daniella and me. we had to go back into our classes and wait until 9:15 a.m. so we waited and we marked The roll. then we got told to put on suncream, Then finally a buses arrived War Room 5 rooms 3 had gone on the first bus so we had to wait for our bus to write because it got cancelled we waited there for 10 minutes until our bus arrived and apologised saying for being late. so then we hopped on the bus and we went to Manukau there we saw the other Point England kids waiting into t 2 lines sitting down for us to come to them. The Entrance to rainbows end was very big because there were 5 Gates that were there but only three of them were open, but the people that work they're told us to put our hands up to get our wristbands so we did. Mrs ilaoa called us to stand up and go to our helpers then we started visiting places and going on the rides until it came to lunchtime. when it was still eating time I ask no sorry if I can go on the fear fall with my friend Daniellawe were very excited but the thing is that there was a big line so we had to wait for 5 minutes then it was our turn. if finally came to us so we ran and sat on one of the seats that we were supposed to sit on the man told us to buckle up and sit tight, we were starting to go up and up and up until you reached the end of the fearful then he suddenly stopped we waited for 2 seconds then it started going down fast until I got to the ground where it stopped then we got off. we were jumping up with joy because we were the first one's to go on the field full from Point England school for year sevens. then we went back to the entrance then we went back to school for all the sudden everybody on the bus fell asleep so miss Moala had to wake us up and then we went back home.

Once upon a time there lived a man named Jack Sparrow he was the one who brought all the nations together, then they discovered that he stole a souvenir from the highest general ship.They realised that Jack Sparrow was too good for them to catch, so  they gave up on him and turned back never to return for him as he sails. The time had come for the amazing Jack Sparrow and his crew to set across the seas and find the air that lives to tell the tale. The young air was as grateful as Jack Sparrow but his words weren’t as great as as the young man, the young man felt love and joyful places that he comes across, until the young man saw the love of his life standing right in front of him.He kindly asked where she was heading she told him that she is going to an island where nobody knows. But Sparrow caught him before he could even see who it was but it was too late because they had already left, the young man was exhausted to see Jack Sparrow's face, his heart pumping his eyes grew even more frightened. As they sailed away  Jack had heard a big thrash coming from behind them and he noticed it was the black riders, their  face angry as a person would try getting there hands on someone and that someone would be Jack Sparrow. The young man asked if he could help but Jack wouldn’t accept the offer because it was his job and serve and protect for his life but he didn’t listen so he went and fought with them until the black riders would sink  down all the way to the bottom of the entire Ocean of Spain. The young man thanked Jack for his offer to protect him but this time he had accepted the kind speech that the young man had, Jack asked for a named and the young man said it was Ronin. So they went to a land where nobody knows and there they felt love and happiness with people that are there with them. Ronin saw the girl that he met earlier in begging so at last there they in the land that makes them happy with each other even Jack Sparrow and the crew on board.

Narrative Writing

 Jack Sparrow in Fairytale Land

Once upon a time there lived Jack Sparrow, his crew, the young man Jack and the witch in fairytale land. One day Jack Sparrow and his crew set off to find the witch, the young man Jack heard them talking about a witch so he went after them. The witch felt a strange magic coming her way so she knew that someone was coming for her so she prepared herself, when Jack Sparrow and his men got to fairytale land they went searching for her. The young man kept track of them to see what they were up to, he followed them ride up until they got to the mountains that’s when he saw a house floating on the bridge so he knew that was the witch’s cottage,Jack Sparrow and the crew were already there but they were knocking on the door but no one answered. Until they saw the witch coming back from the mountains, started asking some questions but the guardians wouldn’t let her saw a word. Sparrow gave her one last chance but she blew it so Jack Sparrow and his men killed her guardians, so the young man Jack had enough of them fooling around with the witch so he went down the hill to the cottage with bravery. He walked straight up to them and he said’’ leave her alone but they didn’t listen then the second time he said it he started fighting them until they got up to the point where Sparrow’s men gave up and ran. But Sparrow never gave up so the young man Jack said never come back to fairytale land so then he gave  Sparrow a warning. 

The witch thanked him for helping her out because she knew they would come for her, but he wouldn’t let them hurt her. So he gave her a promise that he would always check up on her every month, he said that as he was walking back up the mountain and down to the sea and back to his boat. The young man had been very brave and king to help out that witch because he cares for his own people suffering from Jack Sparrow and his crew does, but he mainly goes on journeys across the seas and journeys to the islands that hasn’t been discovered. So off he went   back on his journey to who knows where but the legend says beware wherever you go, you show see some unexpected things that nobody knows. 

But Jack Sparrow continued going around and looking for some loot that he and his crew have in mind, the thing is that the young man Jack has already set off to continue what he had started. So now that is leaving Jack Sparrow and his men i until Jack returns, Sparrow lightened up with joy and started feeling really excited that the young man Jack had left. But that is the very end of my made up story and thanks for reading my story.

Siva Samoa

Siva Samoa

On Monday room 1 girls were doing a Siva Samoa dance for our theme called Drama.We tried our very best to try and learn the Siva Samoa dance with our team leader teacher Mrs Ilaoa. We each had to come up with 2 actions and after that we had put all actions all together.We all felt happy that we had accomplished the Siva Samoa dance.Some of room 1 girls thought it was really exciting and some thought that it was boring or either tiering.
Mrs Ilaoa gave us a big WELL DONE!! for trying our best.

We all had FUN! and it was really AMAZING!!

Being A good Daughter

Being A good Daughter

Do you want to know how to be a good daughter? Because a good daughter respects her  family members,  by listening to what they say at all times.I think that it’s time to start showing families  that we could all do what has been assigned to us. All kids like us should know how to be encouraged by others if something big is going to happen.

Sons  and Daughters sometimes may be a good role model or a good brother or sister to their younger siblings. But many ways for us is to make it feel so awesome and fun for those who are still learning through and through. Today I have shauwn my way of being a good role model and a good daughter is by trying to keep up with my work or helping out my mates and doing my work. I try to take my role really serious  because I care so much about our family and community too.

I am a girl so I must try my very best to keep my family safe by being a good daughter and studying really hard so I can prove that one day I will be a good role model for the community. After  After things go well I should be helping my family out with things that they are struggling with or problems. I should really focus on my culture and scholarship as well because my life really does depend on me too. Things go well I should be helping my family out with things that they are struggling with or problems.

If I was a boy I wouldn’t try my best, I would already be a role model or a good son in the family. But I would also need some help from my mates to try and achieve that goal just like my older siblings that are in highschool. My life depends on me because I’m the one that my family is relying on right now because they want my to get a better scholarship when it’s our turn to become an adult.

What do you think that you are going to be a good daughter will it be a challenging goal or will it be easy for you. It will be very easy because if you are already a good daughter or a good role model you will have to try your very best to become even better at those 2 things that I just told you.

Immersion Assembly

Today at Immersion Assembly Mr Bert and the intire school spend time talking veciously about Point Engalnd doing Acting and other stuff that also includes singing too. Teachers have Motivated students and that to try and join the performance that's going to happen on this Friday coming. Mr Jacobson invited the teachers to hope on stage and performe what they have archeaved during the holidays. I think that the teachers deserved to have all the students congrates them for their perfomance, I say that the teachers gave it their really best to this performance. My favourite part was team 5's because this is the first time seence Ive ever seen them dance like woody.

Term 4 intro

Today my friends welcomed me back to school for term 4,  but I gave them a worm welcome back to school as well. It must be really good been back to school cause you get to study and hang out with your friends and families too. I think school is my home where I stay and study really hard to become adults that there brains could work in their career that helps them through and through. The Point England students feel really mosionly happy that term 4 is finally starting back up, many things that can make our term better is to have a great day and be encourage by our beloved teachers of this school.

Number 28

                                                       

One day in New york everybody was moving  so fast to their works and their way to work some peoples cars hit into each so some people started getting suspicious. As they waited for help to come to them but as they waited patiently the people  heard a big thrash coming from the houses nearby until people started screaming they all ran to somewhere that had shelter. The people ran and ran but when they got their robot Number 28 had already busted the house down,then they called for help but no one came to help them so they tried looking for something that would protect them from Number 28 but then Number 28 started getting scared of them so he ran to the city and stayed their. The people back their felt very sad for him so they went looking for him in groups of 7 so one went the right way then the other one went left way,they kept on looking for him ride until they got the city they called him but he just wouldn’t answer them. But when they called him one more time he came out and said sorry and just walked away but they wouldn’t let him go so they asked him why he did it, he told them that he was just trying to escape so he could be free. So they all went back and started rebuilding the houses with them then went to apologise to the people and helped build the road as well, so they all said that he could stay and help them out with any problems they have, so he felt his heart with joy and excitement and started thanking them and they said no worries because they are working as a team to set things right. When he started getting to know all of them they all went out celebrating and started helping each other. And that is the very end of my story so thank you for reading my Number 28 recount so see you next time when I do my next recount about something else.
